a new place to break bread with the homies
I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there! They (not Substack themselves) say it’s a Twitter competitor, and I look forward to that if it’s true, or if this just dovetails that. Many social media exist, but my favorite center the written word.
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Aksum Herald, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Aksum Herald can share thoughts, ideas, practices, and quotes that pop up in their head (sidetracks and digressions are encouraged). A genius is a moment that can happen anytime anywhere (God rebuked his human prophet with a talking jackass not voiced by Eddie Murphy). So, please don’t be shy. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
