There are cultures and there are subcultures. There is Twitter, and there is Black Twitter, and there is Ethiopian Twitter, and there is peculiar Christian Twitter. There are influencers, and there are Ethiopian influencers, and there are Ethiopian Orthodox influencers. As far as followings go, I am still at a nascent stage, but growing slowly and surely by the day, and some friends have already begun calling me an influencer. LOL.
I will accept that I am a baby influencer aiming at adulthood, and so when news about this class arises, I pay attention, especially when it is at the intersection of my Master of Dispute Resolution that I better flex to make sure every penny of my bottomless pit of debt was worth it. SAG-AFTRA, the famous Hollywood guild of > 100k entertainers, has come to a written agreement to permit the inclusion of influencers in their collective bargaining. Bravo.
My politics is fundamentally about the individual, but I have played third-party neutral and university sponsored debater too many times not to see the undeniable value in systems and communities. Especially, without State intrusion, and with common goals that benefit the masses. In this case, the big plus is for up-and-coming stars to have healthcare.
Roughly half of the hundred-plus agreements I helped bring about as a mediator and organizational ombudsman were written and roughly half verbal. The former were on the day of court for litigants who otherwise would have had to stand before a seated judge. The latter were with two research universities, and more often than not months or years ahead of any pending or potential litigation.
If you, or anyone you know, ever needs a mediator or facilitator, particularly for divorce/separation, car collisions, landlord-tenant / roomate, or workplace related needs, please don’t hesitate to hmu. Remember me.
