sibket is one of the three minor holidays of the lord jesus, commemorated and celebrated during the ge’ez rite or aksumite advent season. sibket means to herald, to preach, to proclaim, to announce. the aksumite advent season is called the fast of the prophets. jesus, or joshua, of nazareth is he whom the prophets promulgated. in 2021 in the year of our lord, and 2014 in the year of mercy, we still do this duty. and before you say, haha he said, “dooty”, notice the lexical difference…
