The Old and the New
I have witnessed evangelism with no respect for the Old Testament. This is preposterous. The new is the fulfillment of the old. The twelve apostles began the church with only the old testament as holy scripture. Oral renditions of their experiences with Christ abetted their efforts. I try to include a verse from old and new each time I present the word. The parallels, foils, and allusions are interwoven as naturally as the spider's web in Charlotte's Web.
The dominion reversal in Genesis 3 is complemented by Paul, in his first epistle to the Romans.
They traded God's truth for a lie, and they worshipped and served the creation instead of the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (Romans 1:25)
