Touched by Tuesday's Praise of Mary
I think I translate certain words and phrases from Ge'ez and Amharic into the American language better than others, and so here is my humble attempt at translating a portion of Tuesday's Praise of Mary (widasay marayam).
O Mary, rejoice, mother and handmaiden, in your womb was he whom is glorified by the angels and whom the cherubim bow down to in fear and whom the seraphim tirelessly expand their wings for and say, "this is the King of Glory who came to take away the sin of the world with his great forgiveness." Pray for us, holy woman.
